What are dental implants?

How are dental implants placed?

Dr. Singh will discuss anesthesia options with you during your first appointment, including oral conscious sedation, where she administers medication that helps you relax and numbs the area but doesn’t put you entirely to sleep.

During the procedure, Dr. Singh drills into the jawbone and places a titanium post. Over the next several months, your jawbone will heal, naturally fusing to the titanium post, which also strengthens your jaw. Once you’ve healed, Dr. Singh attaches a connector to the post, which holds and secures your crown, bridge, or dentures.
